Awesomenauts | CheapSkates

Awesomenauts is a competitive MOBA style game that has been around since August 2012. The game features a cartoony graphic style which works well for the game. Awesomenauts can be both a fun and frustrating game and requires some time to learn and practice the mechanics of each character in order to be able to play at some level of competence when battling against human competitors.

PaPaNuggett

This is one of my favorite games. I enjoy the intensity and pacing of the 3v3 matches. The game is unforgiving and players tend to of be unforgiving or very critical if you make a mistake, die, or just play in a way that is different from what they want. Regardless, if you can block that out, I find the game fun. I recommend trying out the different characters to find one that fits your play style since they are all very different. One you have found a few that you enjoy playing, focus on playing them to improve your tactics and load-outs. Upgrades will play a major role into the effectiveness of your character. You will want to make sure that your upgrades give you an advantage over your enemies as soon as possible.

Loki

I'm going to start this out by saying I do not like MOBA's of any kind. But I won't hold that against Awesomenauts. It's got a great art style and very solid mechanics. It's very easy to get into but difficult to master. That's usually a winning recipe for me, except the people still playing the game have mastered it and I haven't. which just leaves me frustrated.

MonkeyFeathers

I wanted to like this game. It has nice looking characters, the potential to be a fun game, but for me it wasn't. I don't like the feeling of not making any progress in a game. It felt like it was unbalanced while we were playing which made it suck. I don't like always dying because the match gets really good players on one side and newbies on the other (which I was). If there were better match-ups, maybe I would have liked it. If there was the opportunity to get better against equally skilled players, maybe I would have liked it. Unfortunately that doesn't seem like it's going to happen. I think this would be a great game for people who play these types of games, so there's a positive note.
