WHAT IS CORE?

Core is an endless universe of games and worlds designed by a global community of creators. It's a radically accessible game construction kit, content exchange, and game-playing platform, all in one. With Core, you can create multiplayer games, using the power of Unreal Engine, with no coding or art skills required. When you're ready to share your creations, publish them to the Core platform where they'll be instantly available to play.

PaPaNuggett

Core is a new gaming platform which hosts a suite of mini-games which are community produced. It allows anyone to create and publish games on the Core platform. This seems to be similar to Roblox, but with an updated graphics engine. I'm interested to see where this goes, but I'm concerned with how much junk has already accumulated on the platform which may make it more difficult to find new games. I think Core will appeal to a younger audience do to the variety and cost.

There seemed to be on the surface endless possibilities, but there were really only a few actual game types and they all felt like the knock off version of other games. I know Wish is cheaper than Amazon but you tend to get what you pay for. All of that said, I think if the devs focus on tightening up the core mechanics it could easily take over the world!

I think this has some possibilities. Right now of course there are a lot of knock off versions of games already out there in Core, but there are also some original games in there too. Knowing that people have the opportunity to create something new and different has the potential to appeal to up and coming game developers (or people who just want to create something). Also knowing that there are knock offs, but free to play knock offs, can also be appealing because free is free to a lot of people. I am curious to see if this is going to be something that sticks around and if it does, what it will become.
