Scream (1996) (Movie Podcast) | SMF

Why was The Fonz so good at being the killer?

One year after Sidney's mom's death, an anonymous killer guts two high school lovers, causing fear and rumors to rise in Woodsboro, California. Soon the killer starts targeting Sidney and her friends by using horror films as part of a deadly game.

Scream is a 1996 American slasher film directed by Wes Craven and written by Kevin Williamson. It stars David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Matthew Lillard, Rose McGowan, Skeet Ulrich, Jamie Kennedy, and Drew Barrymore. The film combines black comedy and "whodunit" mystery with the violence of the slasher genre to satirize the clichés of said genre. Scream was considered unique at the time of its release for featuring characters who were aware of real-world horror films and openly discussed the clichés that the film attempted to subvert.
